Dear parents, Please check your child’s candy that was distributed at the Walkathon. Some parents found little bugs in some of the candy. It must have come from the candy company. We apologize for the inconvenience!

“If you see something, say something”
In light of the tragedy that has occurred in South Florida this week, we are asking SMS parents to talk with their children at an age appropriate level (and not to scare them) encouraging them to speak up about any threatening or frightening behavior by another student or adult.
Older students do have access to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and a myriad of other social media sites and can be aware of others who are making threats or posting violent images. Encourage your older students to talk with you about those sites. Being pro-active can be one piece that can help save lives.
Middle school students especially should be urged to share concerns with trusted adults, peers, teachers. or the anonymous SpeakOut Hotline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
Please send an RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org so she can know how many pizzas and cookies to buy. Thank you!
